SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Music Australia) - More than 5,500 fans packed into the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Sunday night to see the preview show for Delta Goodrem's Visualise Tour 2005 & nobody was disappointed, including the show's star. "I can't wait to do it all again!" said Delta.
On Sunday night, over 5,500 Novocastrians were left with jaws dropped to the floor after witnessing the very first public performance of Delta Goodrem's Visualise Tour 2005. Of course, there was one person who was probably most excited about the show and that was Delta herself.

"It was fantastic! Finally being able to perform for the fans was everything I'd imagined and more. It was great to see so many faces singing along. I was nervous when I first walked out but it was a wonderful feeling. I can't wait to do it all again!" said Delta.

Newcastle hosted the special warm up show, prior to the tour officially kicking off at Perth's Burswood Dome next Friday, 8 July, and fans weren't given anything less than a complete musical extravaganza during the nearly two-hour set.

Backed by a fully live piece band together with a five piece string section, backing singers and dancers, Delta played, sang and danced her way through all the songs we?ve come to know and love from her record-breaking debut 'Innocent Eyes' and her now five times platinum follow-up, 'Mistaken Identity'.
"Delta was awesome on stage! She has an ability to make you feel like you're the only one in the room even though there are 5,000 other people singing along around you," said Jonathon Moran of the Australian Associated Press.

Ticket sales for the tour have hit 70,000 with Melbourne's Saturday, 16 July matinee performance at Rod Laver Arena show now SOLD OUT with tickets only available for her first Melbourne performance on Wednesday, 13 July at 7.30pm.

The tour comprises a 100 member all Australian cast and crew utilising five semi trailers to transport 300 lights, a massive state-of-the-art sound system, three video screens, a purpose built catwalk and custom designed stage set.
"This is the start of a huge live touring career for Delta. This is a phenomenal concert debut, audiences will be blown away with Delta LIVE," said promoter Paul Dainty.
