New York, NY (Top40 Charts) During weeks full of exciting news, Latin Grammy nominations and recognition, Colombian star Carlos Vives is featured today in the Tiny Desk Home Concerts video series, presented by NPR. The series is now known globally and, since the beginning of the quarantine, has continued its successful series featuring live concerts intimately from home.

As a result, Vives opened the doors of his home to present to us in a personal way a mini-concert that, throughout 20 minutes, revisits 4 songs from different albums that are special to the musician, composer, actor and philanthropist and multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winner. This is all done in an intimate way, making us all witnesses of a unique and unrepeatable presentation.

"We planned a special week of video concerts [on NPR] to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month," NPR Latin Alt Host Felix Contreras says, "I tried to think of many styles, genres and experiences that could celebrate the cultures of more than 20 Latin American countries. Carlos Vives, is an icon throughout Latin America, and his new album Cumbiana is a reminder of how important he is to the history of Latin Music. That's why he was my first choice."

The National Hispanic Heritage Month has been for Carlos Vives a month full of events that include a virtual question and answer session with the Venezuelan director Gustavo Dudamel in October 21, in addition to a presentation at this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards on same day, in which he will receive the Hall Of Fame award. Added to all this are the 6 Latin Grammy nominations received this year in late September, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Long Form Video, for their celebrated 14th album Cumbiana.

Throughout his career, the Colombian singer-songwriter is one of the artists most nominated for the Latin GRAMMY Awards, in its 2020 edition; and with CUMBIANA, Carlos Vives continues to add hits to the list with 5 more nominations. Defying time and space, Vives leads us to discover through his album and his documentary, El Mundo Perdido de Cumbiana, - available on Amazon Prime Video- the origin of cumbia, the sounds of its region and a magical territory we are all going to fall in love with.
