America Jayne Grapples With Growing Up With Indie-Rock Single "Survive"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) After delving into romance-based daydreams in her last single "Pretend", Brooklyn songstress America Jayne is back with another indie-rock single "Survive". As young adults we must all eventually face the inevitable of "growing up". While this doesn't always mean waking up one day and aggressively throwing our action figures in the dumpster, the significance of finally facing reality is a moment in time not often forgotten. America Jayne harnesses her unapologetically raw voice and simple guitar melodies (similar to those heard from Soccer Mommy and Julien Baker) to bring relatable subjects into the ears of listeners and remind them they are not alone.

America Jayne elaborates further, "'Survive' was written when I first moved to New York City and had no idea what I was doing with my life. At the time I was seeing an older man in the industry who had his shit together and after a particularly emotional, whiskey-driven night I realized how much I desperately needed this person to teach me how to survive as opposed to living in the art of getting by. The song is, at its core, a young-adult anthem about learning to grow up and get by."

America Jayne is one of New York City's own. The city is know for its bright lights, hopes and dreams and fast living, seeing many artists come and go as new high rise buildings are constructed and the old are discarded. Few people truly emerge, shining among the rest and standing the test of time.

This pop/folk artist is one of those bright lights that can be seen for miles on end. The energy, passion and conviction in her voice could move the hardest of hearts, as she has amassed a strong following in the metropolitan area in such a short time she is quickly on her way to greatness.

Only a year after coming to New York from Connecticut to pursue her career in theater, she soon realized her passion was her voice, the guitar and the means to spread her love of music to the masses. America Jayne can be seen playing in venue's all over New York City and beyond with her live band and solo acoustic shows for a more intimate vibe, to promote new music coming out in 2019.
