NEW YORK (Metropolitan Talent / Hybrid Recordings/ www.verticalhorizon.com) - Platinum rock group Vertical Horizon will be touring this summer in support of their newly re-released album, "Go." Fresh from a six week acoustic promo jaunt, Vertical Horizon will kick off in Orlando, Florida on July 19 and hit sixteen cities including multiple nights in New York and Washington DC. Joining the tour will be the Pat McGee Band.
This past week, "Go" reached the No 10 most downloaded album on iTunes while the single 'Forever,' landed No 23 with a bullet on Billboard's Hot AC airplay chart.

"Go" was originally released by RCA in late 2003. At the time, RCA senior management was going thru an upheaval and despite their platinum success, the band and the label agreed to go their separate ways in 2004. The band and their management, Metropolitan Talent, negotiated with RCA to allow Metropolitan Talent / Hybrid Recordings (RED Distribution) to re-release the album. "Go" was re-packaged with fresh artwork and a new song, 'Better When You're Not There,' for June 2005 release.

Lead singer/lead guitarist/songwriter Matt Scannell and singer/guitarist/songwriter Keith Kane met at Georgetown University and formed the band. Vertical Horizon released their major label debut, the platinum-plus "Everything You Want," yielding the hit singles 'We Are,' 'You're a God,' 'Best I Ever Had,' and the title track, which became the most played song on Top 40 radio in 2000, reaching No 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts.
The song won a Radio Music Award and two Billboard Music Awards, while the band went on to win a Billboard Music Video Award for Best New Artist Modern Rock Video ('You're a God').
Vertical Horizon is: Matt Scannell, Keith Kane, bassist Sean Hurley, drummer Craig MacIntyre.
