 NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Coldplay and the Kaiser Chiefs are among the acts nominated for this year's Nationwide Mercury Prize, it was announced today. The 12 shortlisted albums for the award honours the 'best album of the year' by a UK or Irish act. The overall winner of the �20,000 prize, which was claimed by Franz Ferdinand last year, will be announced on September 6, 2005.
