New York, NY (Top40 Charts) A beautiful boy named Carson from Highercroft, Blackburn, passed away on the evening of 17th November 2020. He had only recently turned three.
'A Candle For Carson' was made in honour of Carson in the hope he would pull through his recent operation and be home with his two sisters and mum and dad this Christmas, but it was not to be. The song remains more poignant somehow and just shows the effect and love we thankfully have and share with each other when our precious lives are truly at stake.

Young Carson spent a large part of his courageous life at Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital due to his being born with CHD (Congenital
Heart Disease). He was diagnosed prenatally at 20 weeks old, but his parents hoped he may overcome his conditions which included Dextrocardia (heart on the right side of his body), Pulmonary Atresia (complete blockage in the heart), Transposition of the Great Arteries (main two human arteries leaving the heart were opposite to where they should be), Large VSD (large hole in the middle of his heart), ASD (hole in the wall of the heart) and several other conditions.
Having recently undergone his seventh and biggest heart operation to date, several musicians and producers felt compelled to write a song for Carson, to reflect just how inspirational his spirit shone to all who knew him and heard about this little 'Blackburn Warrior' whom thousands were praying would fully recover.
Carson's parents made a statement on 17th November 2020, the evening he passed, as follows, "Carson has grown his angel wings. Just before 7pm in mine and Westy's arms. I'm absolutely heartbroken but he is now at peace. No more pain, wires, monitors or operations for you my boy. Never will there be a boy with more fight than him. He's touched so many Hearts. I'm going to miss you so much. Fly high my beautiful boy. Mummy and Daddy love you so much. Thank you to everyone for all the support along the way, it means so much to us all xxx"
