New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Breakout star Zoe Wees' empowering follow-up to her monster debut out only this Tuesday gets an equally powerful official video today following on from a monster week of exposure ranging from James Corden's Late Night Show performance to Zane Lowe's first play.

Zoe explains "This video hopefully shows both sides of how I'm feeling right now. I'm working hard on becoming the confident artist that I want to become, but I'm still a young woman, like many others, who's always a comment away from being knocked back down. This video is that pain, but also the drumbeat for the empowerment I feel."

"Girls Like Us" is the second single from an artist you should already have on your radar going into 2021. The 18 year old German singer/songwriter has had a whirlwind year after her first single "Control" went viral worldwide, thanks to her powerful voice and its equally powerful message. The new single will be released via Capitol Records/Universal Music.

Already armed with a legion of loving fans, who have followed her since she began sharing covers of her favourite songs online, Zoe's impressive vocals and ability to connect shine through once again.

Talking about the origins of her much-anticipated new track, Zoe explains "for me it was the hardest feeling to grow up in a world that you feel doesn't accept you. We all have insecurities but this is what makes us beautiful."

Zoe's lyrics send a message of togetherness and solidarity to girls around the world who are feeling the pressures of society. It's a middle finger to the impossible beauty standards which are still being peddled by brands, influencers and algorithms.
"We're walking through a world with blinded eyes," she says, "at the end of the day we all go to bed without make-up with the ugliest clothes and wake up with the messiest hair on earth."

Zoe is one of a very tiny handful of artists in the world to have enjoyed such a promising debut across the planet. Control' was added to the two biggest playlists in the world - Spotify's Today's Top Hits and Apple Music's Today's Hits and the track has since amassed over 275 Million streams globally. The song has also charted in 58 country's Viral Charts on Spotify (14th), and has already gone Gold in no less than 5 countries. Going into 2021 she's been tipped on Amazon's Ones To Watch & Youtube's On The Rise program.
