New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Apple
Music today announced Baby
Queen as the first artist to be featured in the UK's local 'Up Next programme, Apple Music's artist initiative geared towards identifying and showcasing rising talent.
Baby Queen, born Bella Latham, grew up in South Africa before moving to London aged eighteen to pursue a career in music. With influences spanning from
Taylor Swift to The 1975, her pop-infused debut EP Medicine was released to widespread acclaim in November last year. Two further singles, Raw Thoughts, and These Drugs followed swiftly in early 2021.
As the first Up Next artist to be spotlighted in the UK, Baby
Queen will be featured across Apple Musics UK Up Next playlist here. The curated Up Next playlist features a dynamic class of new and emerging artists, thoughtfully hand-picked by Apple
Music editors from around the world. The playlist is genre agnostic and represents a line-up of artists our global editors are passionate about and eager to expose to a larger audience.
Previously championed on air by Apple
Music 1 presenters Matt
Wilkinson and Zane Lowe, Baby
Queen will be appearing on The Rebecca Judd Show on Apple
Music 1 this Wednesday (24/03) to talk about her upcoming plans.
