Senses 'Drifting' Out Now
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) SENSES are: Callan, Kavvy, Finny and Ronan. They return with Drifting, the second track to be taken off their debut album, Little Pictures Without Sound (due 16th July). They combine arena ready hooks with evocative soundscapes to create their compelling sound. Equally influenced by shoegaze romanticism, alternative experimentation, and indie ambition.

SENSES received support very early from Radio 1, Radio 2 and XFM and the band released a single through cult label Shifty Disco. SENSES set to work on on recording with Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Blinders, Kid Kapichi, Slow Readers Club). Wrangling with labels and distributors saw SENSES hit an enforced hiatus. Lockdown has allowed the band to return with uplifting anthems and introspective ballads, connected by mysterious snippets of spoken word, providing a cinematic quality, finding beauty in everyday life.

Drifting offers a nod to era defining indie and alternative bands that have inspired SENSES; layers of atmospheric guitars, leading to arms aloft euphoria. Yet, there are glimpses of more obscure influences, seen in the use of samples, vintage synths and staccato strings, in much the same way as the Jacques Villegl inspired cover art. Lyrically minimalistic, the song capitalises on the blissful harmonies of Callan and Finny. Combining to create a song that soars, making way for a sense of hope that reverberates long after the last note.
