NEW YORK (Sanctuary Records/ www.stratovarius.com) - The Finnish quintet, Stratovarius, one of Finland's most successful metal bands, is set to release their latest album, Stratovarius on September 13, 2005 through Sanctuary Records.
The band, which is known for its melodic, symphonic style is comprised of vocalist Timo Kotipelto, guitarist and band leader Timo Tolkki, bassist Laurie Porra, drummer Jfrg Michael, and keyboardist Jens Johansson.

After a hectic 2004 that saw the departure and subsequent return of two band members, the band is set for big things with the release of Stratovarius. The band is preparing for a full scale world tour to coincide with the album's release.

The album's first single and video will be "Maniac Dance." The video was shot in April in Helsinki by megastar video director Antti Jokinen, who is famous for his works with artists such as Beyonce, Wyclef Jean, Korn, and Celine Dion among many others.
