New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Olivia OBrien, the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter with over 3 billion global streams, has released her new single Sociopath today via Island Records/Universal Music.
In tandem with the new single, Olivia has shared the official video the single directed by Amber Park (Camila Cabello, Sabrina Carpenter). The video evokes the songs frantic and scary themes with a no-holds barred parody approach to the horror film formula. Featuring gag filled, scary movie scenes reminiscent of iconic cult classics like Scream, Scary Movie, Paranormal Activity and more. The video also features some of Olivias influential and notable friends including Anastasia Karanikolaou (aka @StassiBaby), Euphorias Zak Steiner, Quenlin Blackwell and more. View the video here.

Sociopath is the first single Olivia has shared from her forthcoming sophomore album Episodes, which will be released in two parts. Part 1 will be released in May and part 2 will be released later this summer.

Most of the time, it feels like my life consists of sporadic, mis-matched episodes from various, unrelated TV shows. Some days Ill wake up in a lighthearted comedy move and fall asleep in a tear-jerking coming of age drama. While I usually enjoy these many episodes, the word episodes often brings something else to mind: periods of struggle with mental and emotional distress, Olivia shares, Ive been through many of those kinds of episodes but I try to find the positive in every situation and aspect of my life. My life is a messy, scattered genre-bending saga and so is my album. Im inviting you into the episodes of my life with this new album. A world of comedy, reality, drama, horror, fantasy and love. I cant wait for everyone to hear it.

Episodes is the follow up to Olivias 2019 debut album, Was It Even Real? Olivia first made a name for herself as an artist to watch when she collaborated with Gnash on their 5-times platinum 2016 hit i hate u, i love u, which has amassed over 2 billion streams to date, including over 1 billion streams on Spotify and over 580 million views on the songs official video. She was named one of PAPERs 100 Women Revolutionizing Pop Music and in 2019, released her debut album in Was It Even Real? Last year, Olivia saw viral success once again with the tongue-in-cheek revenge anthem Josslyn. Laced with Olivias signature poetic vulnerability and comedic vulgarity, the song has been streamed over 125 million times to date. Her viral streaming success has also helped propel her huge social media following (over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, over 1.3 million Tik Tok followers and over 36.4 million likes on her page).
