New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Celebrated Canadian artist Sam Roberts Band announces the new edition of their hit album Chemical City in honour of its 15-year anniversary. The new digital edition of the album is being released today as a surprise and delight for fans via Universal Music. Fans can also pre-order the new LP editions of Chemical City (Redux). This includes a limited-edition colour 2 LP set exclusive to the Sam Roberts Band store and MusicVaultz, set for release August 13, 2021.
Recorded with Producer Mark Howard in Australia in 2005, the album was finalized in Montreal with childhood friend and producer Joseph Donovan and released on April 11, 2006. Chemical City is the band's sophomore album, it impressively debuted at #3 in Canada and is certified platinum.

The special anniversary edition of Chemical City is completely remastered and includes four previously unreleased bonus tracks known as "The Lost Side"; Fall Before You Finish, Major Minor, The Cathedral, and Step Inside. In addition to the reissue there are also plans for Chemical City (Redux) 2LP edition set for later this year along with a D2C colour exclusive vinyl.

Describing "The Lost Side" and the making of the album, Sam Roberts shared, "Somewhere in all of the chaos of creating the album, a few of the songs were left behind. Either unmixed, unfinished or lost… Chemical City was released in 2006, ten songs and one blank side and has lived that way ever since. He continued, "the truth is that there is a fourth side with songs and characters that complete the story. These songs are Major Minor (previously unreleased), Fall Before You Finish (previously released as a bonus track, now remixed and including missing tracks), The Cathedral (previously unreleased, was lost and found…) and Step Inside (previously released as a Japanese single, now remixed including missing tracks)."

Sam Roberts Band burst onto the music scene with We Were Born In A Flame which debuted at #2 on Soundscan and was certified double platinum in Canada. Sam Roberts went on to win three Juno Awards for the album including the prestigious award for Album of The Year. Since the release of their debut record the band has been creating and experimenting with music, resulting in six full length studio albums including Chemical City, 2020's All of Us and 2016's TerraForm which followed the 2015 release Counting The Days EP and 2014's full length album Lo-Fantasy.

The acclaimed Montreal based five-piece band includes Sam Roberts (lead vocals, guitar), Dave Nugent (guitar), Eric Fares (keyboard, guitar), Josh Trager (drums), and James Hall (bass). Since their inception in 2002, Sam Roberts Band have dominated the airwaves, selling out shows, and sharing the stage with legendary bands like AC/DC and The Rolling Stones. The Juno Award winning band's latest musical offering is the album All Of Us released in 2020.
