New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today Naylor (Peter Ibbetson) reveals his gorgeous second single 'Alone', an intoxicating uplifter featuring Portuguese singer-songwriter Mai Kino.
Penned between lockdowns at the end of last year, Alone is a blossoming track boasting a hypnotising build and euphoric melody born to be heard.
The pandemic has been controversially fruitful for this rising producer as he has thrived in his studio creating anthemic tracks which are sat ready and waiting to soundtrack the summer. Sharing a little more, Naylor explained: "Alone represents the first steps out of isolation and a sense of a first meeting. The track is the start of the transitional process to 'Naylor' getting out in the world"
Alone is the follow up to Naylors debut 'The Message'. A buoyant, hopeful house cut made as an ode to the 2020 festivals that never happened.
Born in West Yorkshire, to musical parents; his dad a piano player and composer for film and his mum, a dancer. They nurtured his natural connection with music, bringing him up on an essential diet of Motown, Soul and The Beatles.which saw him taking to the piano as soon as he was old enough. He then went on to study Jazz at college in Cornwall.
Later Ibbetson moved to Catford, South London, to find more opportunities in music. It was there he moved into a more electronic sphere, getting to grips with new hardware and playing weird and wonderful gigs of all shapes and sizes. Deep in the hustle; always taking the call, always saying yes. The hustle soon paid off, as
Peter became a live musician, touring around the world with the likes of
George Fitzgerald, Rosie Lowe and Makeness.
Naylor is sat on a wealth of intricate, electronic offerings. His upcoming EP is a statement of intent with a glossy blueprint that recalls Settle-era Disclosure. Eager to translate it into a captivating live show with a full band, this artist is definitely one to keep all eyes on.
