New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Canadian legacy artist, Melanie Durrant, releases her third studio album entitled Where I'm At. This album follows the release of her latest single Listen and the official music video. The album is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal or anywhere music is streamed.
"From her lush and commanding vocal tone and confident demeanor, she shares a heartfelt tale of emotional abuse and its aftermath." - Earmilk review of Melanie's single "Listen."

With the release of Listen and the drop of her new album, Durrant is flooded with support from notable American and Canadian talent. Many notable people, including Ray Robinson, Grammy-nominated artist Glenn Lewis, Grammy-Award winning artist Jill Scott, award winner and Walk of Fame Inductee Tanya Mullings, Juno Award winner Dru Grange and Grammy-nominated multi platinum music producer All Star (produced SWV) have shown their support and champion the new album release on Melanie's Instagram page.

Where I'm At is fused with vintage 90s R&B, boom-bap, soul and ecnompasses faint sounds of latin and reggae. Written by Melanie each track encompasess raw heartfelt emotion drawing upon personal experiences of Melanie and her closest friends. Since 2013, Durrant has received three JUNO Award nominations. In 2013, Made For Love was nominated for Reggae Single of the Year, in 2014 her second single Gone was nominated for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year, and in 2015 Durrant picked up another nod in the R&B/Soul category with her single Four Seasons".' She was also nominated for Soul/R&B Artist or Group of the Year at the 2015 SiriusXM Indie Awards.

This album encompasses themes of narcissistic abuse, personality disorders and the way it affects the mind. Every track on Where I'm At has different mindsets, but keeps true to the album's overall theme. Produced by Statik Selektah (Nas and Wiz Khalifa), MoJointz, Ced Solo, Rene "Snaz" Hill (Drake, DMX, Busta Rhymes), Don "Destin" Daws, Alann Ulises, Evan Miles, and Ricky Tillo, Where I'm At tells the story of life's hardships and the mental and emotional impact it can have on individuals. Filled with raw emotion, Durrant wants to use this album to connect with her listeners to let them know they are not alone in their experiences.
"One day you're happy and everything is fine, and the next you've been triggered and you're on the defence," said Melanie Durrant. "People live through these ups and downs everyday and I wanted to embody my experiences I have gone through or have seen through the lens of people I know into this album."

Born and raised in Toronto, Melanie Durrant attended the Earl Haig School of the Arts. She trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music and worked on an eclectic array of projects before she became an "alternative hip-hop soul" artist. Citing influences that range from the soulful swoon of Minne Ripperton, to the powerful voice of Aretha Franklin, to the "mercy me" melodies of Marvin Gaye, the radiant singer/songwriter has no problems crashing through the wall of sound.

Durrant's last album Anticipation has been streamed over 3.7 million times world-wide. It peaked at #5 on the Canadian iTunes R&B chart, landed a #1 spot on campus radio, and saw a Top 20 spot on the national Earshot! Chart. The album garnered a list of accolades for Durrant including 2 Juno nominations and a SiriusXM Indie Award nomination. Her single "Goodbye" was selected for a major ad campaign and was broadcasted in 27 countries. Durrant has headlined multiple festivals including the Montreal Jazzfest and Toronto Beaches Jazzfest.
This multi-talented artist was also a featured performer in the Canadian production of Rent. In addition to performing her own shows for audiences across Canada and the U.S., Durrant has shared the stage alongside Fantasia, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Jill Scott, Common, Sean Paul, Cissy Houston, as well as many of Canada's top artists.
