Manchester Fourpiece Fauna Release Ultimate Alt-Indie Anthem "Didn't Wanna"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Manchester Indie Alt-Rock four-piece Fauna unleashed their fourth single, Didn't Wanna, on May 21st to remind listeners that life wasn't always utopic when we had unlimited freedom to drink expensive pints and stand awkwardly on dancefloors.

Didn't Wanna veers away from the archetypal Manchester sound but still kept plenty of the sonic furore offered by hometown jangle-pop icons. The anthemic track also carries nuances of 70s rock, psych and influences from Kings of Leon, Peace, Foals and the Strokes.

Their impassioned indie tracks run with a flood of unbridled energy, making it easy to get swept up in the currents led by their contemporary, captivating rhythms. Fauna may take a critical view lyrically, but their music never fails to bring the euphoria.

The founding members of Fauna are brothers Adam (guitar) and Danny Williams (guitar and vocals). They introduced themselves to the music industry by playing cover gigs, but they soon found the inspiration to find their signature sound and tell their own stories.
After recruiting Thomas Pine (drums) and Charlie Howarth (bass), their line-up was complete. Their sound started to spill out of Manchester's grassroots mecca, Brunswick Mill, through their 2020 debut single, Talk to Me, and their live tour dates. Post lockdown, Fauna is eager to reach bigger crowds and release brand-new material, such as their forthcoming single, Ride the Night.
So far, accolades have poured in from Radio X and BBC Introducing Lancs. Based on the infectiously catchy hooks in Didn't Wanna, that is only the beginning for Fauna.
