New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Alt-pop singer/songwriter CLO's latest single "Real" debuts today, June 11. "Real" is an upbeat track with a retro hook that's all about growth and self assurance for the 20-year-old, Los Angeles-based rising artist.
Of the track, CLO says: "'Real' is my favorite song I've ever written. The sentiment of 'Real' to me is staying authentic, strong and empowered as a young woman navigating my way through LA. I give myself permission to rise from any toxic relationship, hardship or situation. Finding strength through the realization that some people are fake and will want to break you down... But I know who I am and I will come out on top every time. This song really is so special to me. While writing it, I definitely had an ah-ha moment of 'I am who I am and I love myself. I won't let anyone tear me down or tell me I don't matter.' Very cathartic."
On Thursday, June 17, CLO will make her post-quarantine debut at The Federal NoHo for her first live show of 2021. The new sensation makes her appearance in support of her current releases which include the Warren Huart-produced singles "
Blackout" and "Sliding
Doors (There You Are)." Get tickets here:

CLO's previous original singles include "Sliding
Doors (There You Are)'' and her breakout track "
Blackout" which accompanied a video with nightlife photographer and director Nikko Lamere (Noah Cyrus, Tiffany Young,
Marina & The Diamonds). The song landed her coverage in LA Weekly, 1883 Magazine, Highlark Magazine and more plus spins on KROQ's Locals Only Sunday radio show. Her follow up was a cover of Kanye West's "
Paranoid" released with a BTS video of CLO and her band in the famed Hollywood recording studio, Sunset Sound. To date, CLO has a combined 1 million plus streams on Spotify with over 150K monthly listeners and her YouTube videos have a combined 200K views. CLO recently released the 10-track
Blackout Remixes album which landed her a premiere in Dancing Astronaut for BIICLA's remix of the song. Matt Lange also remixed "Sliding Doors."
California Bay Area native CLO's sound is a powerful blend of pop & soul that emerged organically growing up listening to greats like
Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Her unapologetic and fearless streak lies in her appreciation for artists like
Rihanna and Lady Gaga, and her soul roots were solidified by her inspiration- Amy Winehouse. There is no doubt about it, CLO's message is power and strength through adversity. She writes with emotional fire. Secure in her thoughts. It's this confidence and years of training that led to CLO's transition to Los Angeles, where she was discovered by go-to pop-rock producer Warren Huart (The Fray, Colbie Caillat,
James Blunt). The pair's synergy was instant, resulting in first single "
Blackout" released summer of 2020--a retro soul permission slip to fade out the madness, becoming stronger and smarter. Accompanied by a video by Nikko Lamere, the song received support from KROQ, LA WEEKLY, 1883 Magazine, Highlark and more.
