New York, NY (Top40 Charts) John Splithoff releases new single "Inside Out," following up his debut album All In with another burst of "pure infatuated joy...and irresistible vocal talents" (Under the Radar). Across the LP, Splithoff's captivating and confessional songwriting proves how "passions that smolder are hotter than open flames" (PopMatters), and on "
Inside Out" he celebrates emotional intimacy, capturing the realization of someone knowing you better than you know yourself.
"I originally envisioned 'Inside Out' as the second to last track on my album All In, but decided to pull it at the last second as I felt the song digs deeper into my pop sensibilities than the other songs on the LP," John Splithoff explains. "I wrote it at the end of 2019 on a Zoom call and that remote session served as an introduction to the software, which would become a big part of our lives months later with lockdown starting. I finished producing the song out in LA exactly one day before flying back to NYC to start quarantine, and now that things are opening up, it feels really good to have waited to release this song in the middle of summer."
In addition to All In (Acoustic) - an EP of two sensual, stripped-back recordings and a fan-favorite
Platters cover released earlier this month - "
Inside Out" will appear on John Splithoff's forthcoming deluxe edition of All In. Out later this summer, All In (Deluxe)includes more new material to be announced soon.
John Splithoff and his band debuted the music of All In on stage for the first time last week, performing live from the Relix studio in New York City. On
September 30th, Splithoff will host a very special "Evening With" at Evanston, Illinois' SPACE, bringing the songs to life in another totally new, solo setting close to his Chicagoland hometown. Stay tuned for additional shows slated for the fall.
