The Disney Songbook album, produced by David Grow and Jim Brickman, is a compilation of songs associated with classic Disney films plus a couple of new songs performed in Jim Brickman's unmistakable style with a variety of stellar guest vocalists. The album is led by two new songs inspired by 'Cinderella': 'I'm Amazed' featuring country star Lila McCann and 'Beautiful' featuring Emmy-winner Wayne Brady. Additionally, the album includes performances by American Idol contestants Josh Gracin and Kimberley Locke and ABC Daytime star from 'One Life To Live' Kassie DePaiva. The album is a simultaneous release with Disney's Cinderella DVD release.
'I cherish the collaborative process and have been lucky to work with some truly gifted people,' said Jim Brickman. '‘I'm Amazed' required an exceptionally talented singer and I knew Lila would be perfect.'
Jim Brickman is the superstar adult contemporary pianist and songwriter with many top radio hits including the recent Top 10 AC hit, 'Hear Me,' with Michael Bolton and another Top 10 hit, 'Valentine,' with Martina McBride. Brickman has sold 5 million albums worldwide.
'I grew up watching the movies and listening to the songs of Walt Disney,' said Lila McCann. 'Cinderella was one of my favorite Disney movies so I was thrilled when Jim, David and Victoria wanted me to record ‘I'm Amazed' that was inspired by it.'
Lila recently performed 'I'm Amazed' for an upcoming PBS concert special, Jim Brickman at the Magic Kingdom: The Disney Songbook, scheduled to air November and December 2005 that was taped in Orlando, FL. The PBS taping included additional performances by Michael Bolton, Wayne Brady and Linda Eder.
