SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Music Australia) - The divine Charlotte Church has a new album on the way, and it's set to surprise a few people. Leaving her classical roots behind, 18-year-old Charlotte has shifted direction and set sail for the pop world with her upcoming album, 'Tissues And Issues'.
Charlotte Church was a mere 14 years old when she burst on to the international music scene with her stunning classical album, 'Voice Of An Angel'. Having matured as both an artist and individual, Charlotte is gearing up for the release of her first pop album, 'Tissues And Issues'.

With a UK No 5 debut already in the bag, Charlotte looks like proving to the world that her talents stretch way beyond the classical realm. 'Tissues And Issues' offers a journey through a whole range of genres and moods - from out and out pop anthems to Motown infused tracks and heartfelt ballads, Charlotte absolutely radiates confidence.

Ms Church worked with fellow songwriters and producers throughout the whole recording process, including co-writers Guy Chambers, Rob Davis, Graham Stack and Marcella Detroit and producers Dave Fortman (Evanesence), Tore Johannson (Franz Ferdinand) and Brian Rawling (Cher). Charlotte even co-wrote 7 of the 12 tracks on the album, which was recorded in London, Atlanta and New Orleans.

And while Charlotte Church has definitely developed into a mature and stylish performer, 'Tissues And Issues' still reflects the pangs of teenage life.

As Charlotte says herself, "The title, 'Tissues and Issues' is a little tongue in cheek but I think it does sum up a lot of what being a teenager is about".

Keep an ear and an eye out for the album's first single, the fabulous 'Crazy Chick', which proves Charlotte can well and truly match it with the world's biggest pop stars.
