New York, NY (Top40 Charts) SHOWTIME has announced that DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It, Jurassic World: Dominion) will star in the original series THREE WOMEN. The series also stars Emmy and SAG Award nominee Shailene Woodley (Big
Little Lies) and is based on the blockbuster nonfiction No. 1 bestseller by Lisa Taddeo, who is also a writer on the series. Principal photography is set to begin in the fall. The announcement was made today by Amy Israel, Executive Vice President, Scripted Programming, Showtime Networks Inc.
Wise will play Sloane, a glamorous entrepreneur in a committed open marriage until two sexy new strangers threaten their aspirational love story. Wise starred as Nola Darling in the television adaptation of She's Gotta Have It, and her other TV credits include The Twilight Zone, Shots Fired, Underground and Boardwalk Empire. In film, Wise most recently appeared in Fatherhood and has also starred in Someone Great, The Weekend, Firelight and How to Tell You're a Douchebag. Wise will make her blockbuster debut in an undisclosed leading role in Jurassic World: Dominion, releasing in the summer of 2022.
