New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jon Randall - a GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Award-winner and one of Nashville's premier hitmakers - announces his solo album, Jon Randall, out September 10th. Considered one of the most prolific hitmakers in Country, bluegrass and Americana music, this 9-track collection is Randall's first solo album in 15 years. This marks Randall's return to the spotlight and his roots, follows the success he's recently found as one third of The Marfa Tapes (his collaboration with Miranda Lambert and Jack Ingram).

Jon Randall is a guttural exploration of longing, dreamy escapism and bittersweet nostalgia in equal measure. Encompassing decades of writing and showcasing this Texas troubadour's profound gifts for evocative storytelling and vivid scene-setting, the album is steeped in the endless horizons of the wide-open Texas landscape and all the possibility and isolation that comes with it.

Recorded and co-produced with fellow GRAMMY-winner Brandon Bell (Zac Brown, The Highwomen), the songs on Jon Randall are raw and unvarnished, with spare, intimate arrangements centered around Randall's sweet and tender vocals. From discovering peaceful escape on the breezy "Keep On Moving," to the bare bones reflection of simpler times on "Acapulco Blue," to finding beauty in darkness and desperation on hypnotic "Velvet Elvis Buzz," each and every track immaculately finds balance in the beauty of being broken.

Working out of both his home studio and Southern Ground, Randall cut the collection with an all-star cast of friends including Shane McAnally (Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan), Jerry Douglas (Alison Krauss, Garth Brooks), Emerson Hart, Travis Meadows (Eric Church, Brothers Osborne) Jedd Hughes (Little Big Town, Brandy Clark), Chad Cromwell (Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney), Dan Dugmore (Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley), Jerry Roe (Rodney Crowell, Keith Urban), and Ian Fitchuk (Shania Twain, Sam Hunt), among others. While much of the material is stripped down and raw, there's an undeniable sense of camaraderie and kinship in the performances.
"This album is for anyone who wants to disappear for a while on the roads somewhere between Texas and Mexico," says Randall. "They'll hear some tales about winning and losing, living and dying and falling in love in forbidden places."
