New York, NY (Top40 Charts) RIOT comes barging in with their impenetrable dubstep single, "Juggernaut," marking their fourth appearance with the Gud Vibrations crew.
The heavy-duty production pair composed of Tom Davidson and
Daniel Magid has found themselves on the delivering end of a release rampage for NGHTMRE and SLANDER's imprint after breaking off three solo outings in the span of the last year. Keeping the momentum raging at maximum levels, RIOT is now storming in with another high-octane offering suited for complete and utter chaos.
"Juggernaut" is a behemoth dubstep creation that crashes in with inexorable force. Reinforced by their signature face-melting grit, the crowd-crushing number steamrolls its way through mosh-opening metal guitar riffs, aggressive acid licks, slabs of boisterous bottom-end, and vigorous vocal cues outlining the mayhem every step of the way. Once the merciless track gets enough speed underneath its feet, nothing stands a chance at stopping it from turning dancefloors into rubble.
"We spent a decent number of hours during the pandemic playing Warzone and that's how Juggernaut was initially born," says RIOT. "It was originally a song made from angst and frustration that lockdown put us in. The song was a way to release our energy in a different way than video games and focus our attention back to our love for music and our metal roots! Can't wait to rattle the dancefloors and start a RIOT in a city near you with this one on our upcoming fall tour!"
Last July, the L.A. transplants by way of
Israel set the tone for their string of singles on NGHMTRE and SLANDER's stable through a lysergic-powered muncher by the name of "Herbivore." Merely a few months down the line, they brought out the raucous in the name of romance on their sophomore single "Down With Your Love." And most recently, they amplified the vibes on the unfettered festival ripper "Louder." Piece by piece, the rapport between the estimable label and one of bass music's most innovative names seems to be growing stronger by the minute. RIOT is set to build on that kinetic connection when they touch down at SLANDER's inaugural Starbase Festival in October at the Woodlands Nature Reserve, as they share the stage with the founders and some of their closest colleagues, including Alison Wonderland, Big Gigantic, San Holo, Said the Sky, as well as label regulars WAVEDASH, Kraysh, fknsyd, and more.
As RIOT works their way through their upcoming tour dates leading up to the big showcase - with a stop scheduled at Beyond
Wonderland SoCal later this month, no less - you can expect their latest multi-ton smash "Juggernaut" to inevitably crash the party.
