New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following the release of their latest single "Reach Out" last month, Kansas City-based indie rock band Hembree share a live video of the track, recorded at a stunning location in Joshua Tree. Showcasing their genre-averse pop-rock style, the bands urgent and powerful delivery perfectly portrays the tracks sentiment. "It's about how society treats the oppressed, and how people are too embarrassed and neglected to ask for help. You lose touch with reality, which could happen to anyone," explains vocalist and guitarist Isaac Flynn. "This session was the first thing we did as a band after getting vaccinated. We hadn't all been in the same room together for about a year and a half, so it was a pretty glorious reunion. We drove to an off-grid house in Joshua Tree, California, and just played music and hung out. We wanted to capture the joy of playing music with your best friends for the first time in such a long time."

"Reach Out" marks the first bit of music Hembree have released since their debut album, 2019's House on Fire. Coming off a stretch of touring the band were ready to channel the energy of being on the road into their next artistic statement. They found themself in the studio before the pandemic and when the world shut down, it gave the band an opportunity to look inwards and refine their own sonic approaches while embracing a newfound maturity. Listen/share "Reach Out" and watch the official video (illustrated by Carpenter Collective with animation by Igor + Valentine)
Hembree is playing on August 29 at the Wonderbus Festival in Columbus, OH.
