New York, NY (Top40 Charts) There's much to enjoy about the sound and ethos of indie-rockers Seven Purple Tigers, whose new single, "Ignorance Is Blitz" (https://amzn.to/3kVNwsX) is a fantastic amalgam of 50 years of music evolution.

The Trans-Atlantic duo, consisting of Austin Horn (singer/rhythm guitar) and Phil Dyszy (lead guitar/backing vocals) hail from the US and Germany respectively. The band is influenced by music of all varieties, and lists The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths, Tame Impala and The Rolling Stones as some of their primary influences, along with such artists as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Devendra Banhart, Jeff Buckley, and softer acts like Kings of Convenience.

You'll hear this intriguing mix of styles in "Ignorance Is Blitz," from irrepressible funk and Brit-pop exuberance to a 60s protean spirit and 00's edge. Say the duo themselves:
"The track is a reflection on a relationship that failed from both parties coming into it as a cure for loneliness but found that neither was the right person for the other. It avoids both self-deprecation and accusing the other person in favour of a more tongue-in-cheek approach in the verses; more of a 'yea, well that was dumb, huh?'"
Fans of indie rock looking for something different, with style and verve, will want to check this out.
