LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) The free tickets for Radio 1's Out Out! Live will be distributed to young people across the UK. After an incredibly challenging 18 months, with young people disproportionately affected by the social, educational and economic impacts of COVID-19, the event will provide an opportunity for the audience to celebrate the return of live music and nights out in true Radio 1 style.

The brand new event for 2021 will be bringing back the party with live music and entertainment courtesy of some of the biggest acts from the UK, with the full line up set to be revealed in the coming weeks. Hosted by the Radio 1 DJ family, the three-hour show will take place at The SSE Arena, Wembley on Saturday 16 October 2021, with highlights broadcast later on Radio 1, 1Xtra, BBC Sounds, BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Radio 1 is working with The Prince's Trust, UK Youth and Youth Music to distribute the free tickets to the young people benefitting from each charity's services. A special selection of tickets will also be available for Radio 1 listeners to win by taking part in exclusive on-air competitions, with more details to follow about how to be in with a chance.

Joel Corry says: "I am so excited to be part of Radio 1's Out Out! Live, It will be a dream come true to perform at Wembley Arena alongside this incredible line up. It feels amazing to have live music back and it's going to be a night to remember!"

Sam Fender says: "We're going to be playing Out Out! Live with Radio 1. It will be amazing to play at Wembley Arena for such a great cause. Can't wait!"

Griff says: "Super excited to be playing Out Out!! Its been so good being able to perform again! Out Out is gonna feel like the biggest celebration yet."

Lorna Clarke, Controller, BBC Pop Music, says: "The last 18 months have been incredibly tough for young people, so we've decided to offer up a much-needed opportunity to celebrate. With live music, nightclubs and parties getting back underway, we wanted to work with the music industry to create something really exciting for those in our audience who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. It's set to be a very special event and we look forward to bringing the nation together in a way only the BBC can do."
There is no charge for the event itself but a standard booking fee of £3.75 per ticket will be applied to cover ticket handling and other associated costs.
