NEW YORK (AP) - Rob Zombie is spearheading a Ramones tribute album with the help of ex-Ramones' guitarist Johnny Ramone. Zombie will record a cover of "Blitzkrieg Bop" in January for the album and although the project is in its earliest stages, the Offspring, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Rancid, Joe Strummer, and Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder have all reportedly expressed interest. There is no release date for the album as of yet, but Zombie is hoping its release will coincide with the one-year anniversary of Joey Ramone's death in April of 2002.
