New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Santa Fe based musician, Carter Beckworth, has grown a lot since he started writing music at the age of 12. Becoming a husband and father has added another layer of introspection and depth to his repertoire, which is on full display in his Americana and Folk ballad, "Writing It Down".

When asked about the song and it's inspiration, Beckworth adds, "to embrace one's strengths is to acknowledge one's limitations.If there is something you do well, do it often and expect nothing in return."
Carter was born in Houston, TX, and began writing when still in Middle School. He enrolled as a student at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where he began to play professionally and released his debut album. A few years later, he released another album, featuring the hit single, "Mabel," which played on over 200 radio stations and was selected to appear in two independent films.
Now based in Santa Fe, NM, by way of Austin, Beckworth has toured throughout the US, including major markets like Los Angeles, Nashville, and Chicago. Known for his poignant, acoustic performances, he has shared the stage with an array of performers including Ryan Bingham, Hayes Carll, Radney Foster, Bob Schneider and Randy Rogers.
"Writing It Down" is available on all major streaming services now. His upcoming album, pocketknife, will be released on October 22nd.
