Marcus Atom Releases Video For "Aye There" With Rich Jones
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Marcus Atom releases the visuals for "Aye There (ft. Rich Jones)" from his debut record, the "soulful and smoldering" Love vs. War (Atwood Magazine). "Aye There" is a moment of relaxed reflection amidst the record's more serious themes: soft horns and a slow-burn backbeat explore feelings of split-second attraction, unpacking the undeniable eye lock across the room through richly orchestrated bedroom funk.

Today's video features Rich Jones and Marcus Atom drifting hazily through a day on the job, compelled only by a pre-roll and rewarding glimpses of a poolside patron. Watch the two cruise through their verses country club-side here:

While many of the narratives in Love vs. War focus on the redemptive power of coming into one's own, on "Aye There" Marcus isn't afraid to have little fun, flipping a Schoolhouse Rock line into a sly come-on: Conjunction Junction, I'm out to find out how you function / so maybe later we could get into something. Marcus further tips his cap to the legendary series in Billboard's 50th anniversary piece, read here.

"Aye There" is an instance of calculated indulgence on a record heavily focused on self exploration and multifaceted artistry. Atwood Magazine unpacks the record's expansive sound: "Part sweet, part searing, part dark, part light, part haunting, part confessional, Love vs. War captures a few sides of Marcus Atom's still burgeoning, multifaceted artistry." From his sound's "stunning warmth" to his lyrics "stirring passion," Marcus Atom's immersive debut demands to be heard.
