New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The L.A-based singer-songwriter Dana Williams, who's been dubbed a "modern day Ella Fitzgerald" by InStyle releases a visual for her new single "Let Me," a flirtatious track about the fear and excitement at the beginning of a relationship. Swooning with jazzy nonchalance and huge emotion, the video, directed by @Hustlecake (Khalid, Wiz Khalifa), places Dana's vocal and lyrical subtleties center stage. Williams co-wrote the song with Jack Laboz, who also produced the track.
"Shooting the 'Let Me' music video was such a fun experience," says Dana. "The director Alex Di Marco rented a black box studio which was really cool. He played around with primary colors using a yellow dress against blue curtains. It was really nice to be able to perform this song on a stage since it's been such a long time since I've performed live."

In recent years, Dana has gained an ardent following by matching graceful urgency with disarmingly intimate songwriting—a dynamic that landed her single "Honey" on Spotify's Fresh Finds playlist, with over 5 million streams amassed so far. With her hypnotically shape-shifting breed of R&B— symphonic yet raw, understated yet impactful, heavy-hearted yet transcendent, Dana is gearing up for a massive closeout to 2021 with a slew of singles set for release.

Growing up in L.A. and New York, Williams first began experimenting with songwriting in middle school, often in collaboration with her father, the late David Williams, a rhythm guitarist who performed on such iconic songs as Madonna's "Like A Prayer," Stevie Nicks's "Stand Back,"and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." Along with honing her vocal skills with the help of her grandmother (a big band singer who performed with Vic Damone), Williams underwent training in classical fingerstyle guitar. "I saw how fulfilled my dad was when he was in the studio or on stage, and his passion inspired me to make music too."

Within a year of booking her first show, Williams made her debut with The Lonely One - a 2013 EP whose opening track, "Keep Me Waiting," earned the distinction of being the only original vocal composition featured in Damien Chazelle's Oscar-winning film 'Whiplash.' Delivering her sophomore EP Let's Fall in 2015, she then switched her focus to releasing singles, putting out a track a month for over a year. She also appeared as a featured artist alongside Aminé on Rejjie Snow's "Egyptian Luvr" - a single that's garnered over 20 million streams on Spotify to date.

Dana has the rare ability to bend time and turn feeling bad into something impossibly lovely. Dana's debut release - The Lonely One - in 2013, whose track "Keep Me Waiting" earned the distinction of being the only original vocal composition featured in Damien Chazelle's Oscar-winning film Whiplash. Her sophomore album Let's Fall featuring Fooling Myself was released in 2015. She has since collaborated with many artists from hip hop like Freddie Gibbs, Boogie(Sunroof), and Rejjie Snow (Egyptian Luvr (feat. Aminé and Dana Williams)) to electronic acts like MELVV (Lifeline), Fakear (Give Me a Sign) and AKA Block (Roses) amassing millions of streams.
