New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, "The Marcus King Band Performs El Dorado", a rarely-seen live performance in support of Marcus King's Grammy-nominated debut album El Dorado, is now streaming exclusively on The Coda Collection. The first of four themed sets professionally filmed live at a Nashville studio in 2020, the concert film sees The Marcus King Band playing the majority of the breakout singer-songwriter's debut LP El Dorado, which was produced by The
Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and arrived to critical acclaim upon its release in early 2020. A horn combo and background vocalists accompany the 25-year-old guitar phenom and his band, as they deliver powerful live renditions of tracks such as "The Well," "One Day She's Here," and other blues and soul-drenched fare.
"The common thread for these four shows was a theme of togetherness and trying to do it in the safest way possible," says King. "To be surrounded by some love and feel music again is what I needed, and I think that's what everybody needed at that time. These performances were about as close as we could get to that when we filmed them during the pandemic last year. We're happy to be able to share the first of them with the world now."
