New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Alt-RnB artist, Elysia, released her most soulfully zen single to date with 'Cherry Moon', which is due for official release on November 11th.
Elysia defines her music as the breeze that hits your ears on a hot summer day; it is the moment after the moment, a pause for reflection, the calm after a storm. The single features rap vocals from South Side Denny and Pastels (pianist, producer); the rest was left to Elysia, who used her elysian vocals to serenade her listeners into serenity while exploring visceral emotion.
The Melbourne-based artist takes inspiration from real-life epiphanies, Amy Winehouse's honesty, Frank Ocean's vulnerability, Kanye's confidence and Lauryn Hill's inspiring elegance.
Elysia said: "My friend of two years turned into my soulmate in the space of one night; something changed in the way I looked at him; suddenly, my eyes had cherry heart filters. We spent every day together in the summer; we blossomed into something pure and inspirational for this song.
As soon as the jazzy chords started to spill, I was lovestruck with the single too. It is a sneaky 'this is how I feel about you' track, recording the conversation between our souls at the beginning of our relationship.
