BMG Songwriters Light Up The US Charts With Holiday Classics

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 'Sleigh Ride' and the joyful strums of 'Feliz Navidad' welcome the holiday season as a number of US charts are reporting the two songs as some of the most popular among the holiday's most beloved music.

'Sleigh Ride' , written in 1948 by BMG publishing client Leroy Anderson and covered countless times over seven-plus decades, experienced commercial success in 1963 with a cover recorded by The Ronettes. The song still endures today as it becomes the Number One song on the Top 25 ASCAP Holiday Songs of the Year while also re-entering the Billboard charts at number eight Holiday Streaming Songs, number nine Holiday Airplay, number 10 Holiday 100 and Streaming Songs, number 19 Hot 100, and number 34 on the Global 200 charts.

'Feliz Navidad', written in 1970 by BMG publishing client Jose Feliciano, has also been awarded by ASCAP as one of the Top 25 Christmas songs most played and recorded around the world. This year, the song hits number 20 on the Top 25 ASCAP Holiday Songs of the Year, as well as re-entering the Billboard charts at number two Holiday Airplay, number seven Holiday 100, number 13 Holiday Streaming songs, number 16 Hot 100, Streaming Songs, Holiday Digital Song Sales charts; as well as number 28 on the Global 200.
