Music Hall for an unprecedented and thrilling music event. "Lightning in a Bottle," will premiere at 8 p.m. e.t./p.t. on Friday,
September 30th exclusively on Starz InBlack and will be hosted by two-time Grammy Award winner India.Arie, who also performs in the film.
"Lightning in a Bottle" weaves a juxtaposition of performances from legendary performers from rock, jazz, rap and the blues, including Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Chris Thomas King, Macy Gray, Aerosmith, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Natalie King, Chuck D and a host of others. "Lightning in a Bottle" presents a one-night history of the blues with impassioned vocals, vibrant instrumental solos, backstage interviews and archival clips. An added benefit of the premiere broadcast is India.Aire, who adds her own personal insight about her career, the blues and the legends as she serves as on-air host for the once-in-a-lifetime "Salute to the Blues" benefit concert. "Lightning in a Bottle" is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day).
