 Tempe, AZ. (Musica Nova Fine Arts String Orchestra) - Pianist Kirill Gliadkovsky will solo in the Shostakovich Piano Concerto no. 1 with the Musica Nova Fine Arts String Orchestra on Sunday, October 23rd at 3 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4027 E Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley. Gliadkovsky has been a staple on the local Steinway series at Scottsdale Center for the Arts for the past several seasons and has performed with both the Mesa Symphony and with the Symphony of the West Valley. The program will also include the lovely Mozart Divertimento in Bb and Holst's ever popular St. Paul Suite. This concert will be the third in a series of October Musica Nova events. The Musica Nova Orchestra season opens on October 8 at 8:00 pm, in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1800 Libra, Tempe, with the American premier performance of Richard Arnell's Third Symphony. The Musica Nova Baroque Orchestra will address two versions of the Handel Water Music Suite on Saturday October 15th 8:00 pm at Temple Beth Israel, 10460 N 56th Street Scottsdale.
