New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Denver Colorado post-industrial electronic duo, The Drood, have returned to the airwaves with their otherworldly air and dark post-rock panache via their latest single, Psychic Institute.
With the Gary Numan-Esque vocals, psychedelically oscillating textures that weave around shoegazey dream-like layers, Psychic Institute is entrancing in every conceivable way. While the beats bring the energy, the lyrics and vocals tap into a sense of mystic ennui for the way the world clings to empty sentimentality.

The Drood plan to release a string of new singles and music videos throughout 2022, after the release of Psychic Institute, which was recorded in the band's studio in Lafayette, engineered by Nathan Jamiel and Daniel Watts, mixed by Daniel Watts and mastered by SoundLab in Portland, OR

The Denver, Colorado-based duo consists of Nathan Jamiel (Vocals, Electric Guitar, Keyboards) and Daniel Watts (Drums, Keys). The band formed in 2012; following a few line-up changes, they released their first full-length LP in 2016. In 2018, The Drood headlined a weekend show at Ophelia's Electric Soapbox, one of Denver's most sought-after live venues and released two singles with accompanying music videos for their songs Psychosphere and Charles Mangrove.
In 2019 The Drood opened for the international touring band The Legendary Pink Dots at a sold-out special Halloween show in Denver. In 2020 The Drood was scheduled to join Dead Voices on Air and Orbit Service for a south-western US tour which didn't go ahead due to the pandemic. The band took a long break to be safe and be with family but managed to wrap up production on their second full-length studio album, Totally Comfortableâ„¢. Capping-off 2021, The Drood performed live on Radio 1190 in Boulder, Colorado.
