NEW YORK, (Columbia Records) - Columbia Records recording artist and Rochester native Teddy Geiger will headline a concert benefiting Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in Rochester, New York at Water Street Music Hall on Sunday, October 9. Doors open at 1 p.m. Geiger and his band will take the stage around 3:30 p.m., following two opening acts. All ticket proceeds will go to the Red Cross (https://give.redcross.org/donation-form.asp) to help aid those devastated by the greatest natural disaster in American history. Blankets, canned food and other aid items will be collected at the venue. "Everyone has a way they can help this situation, and this is what I can do," said Teddy Geiger. "I wanted to be a part of a focused effort from the youth of Rochester." Geiger, 17, who signed with Columbia Records in February 2005, will play songs from Underage Thinking, his debut album slated for release this Valentines Day 2006.
