 SYDNEY, AU. (SONY BMG Music Entertainment) - Global superstar Ricky Martin is back with the absolutely brilliant 'I Don't Care', the first single from his upcoming album 'Life'. The countdown to the release of Ricky Martin's first new English language album in four years has begun! 'Life' drops on October... and if first cut 'I Don't Care' is anything to go by, we're in for one damn fine album! Produced by Scott Storch (Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent), 'I Don't Care' sees Ricky emerge with a hot new sound, and a couple of new collaborators - talented R'n'B star Amerie and in-demand rapper Fat Joe. So what's the one and only Ricky Martin like to work with then? "He is so down to earth and so cool," says Amerie. "And it's funny because you're like, wow he's Ricky Martin. He's a superstar, but when you're around him he's just so accommodating and nice and warm and chilled? I was just really pleasantly surprised how cool he is."

Amerie says the video shoot was a lot of fun, with Fat Joe jokingly attempting to take over from director Diane Martel.
"We actually spent the whole day doing the video," says Amerie. "We started first thing in the morning. (Ricky) got there earlier and we went well past midnight and we were just going and going and going."
Ricky and Amerie get up close and personal in the clip, and it was Fat Joe who exercised some directorial muscle by suggesting that they heated things up...
"We were talking about how much interaction we should do... and Fat Joe stands up and says, 'No. I'm gonna tell you all right now what you need. You need to do some interaction. Like that's what we need!' We were like Ok Mr Director!... So it was a lot of fun."
