(WCE Records) - After nabbing two Los Angeles Music Award nominations for R&B Video of the Year and Independent R&B Soul Artist of the Year, singer-songwriter-guitarist Malina Moye came away with one win so far for R&B Video of the Year and will attend the award ceremony on November 9, 2005 at Hollywood's Henry Fonda Theater in hopes to collect on the other award. The video for the hit single "Alone" was directed by filmmaker Marc Fusco and produced by The Nickel Palace. "Alone" entered the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B Top 100 Singles charts at number 11 and peaked at number 9 and on the Hot 100, peaked at number 27. With staying power, the single remained on the charts for 32 weeks.

Moye adds, "All the hard work we did over the past couple years is starting to pay off. We were excited to be eligible for four Lady of Soul Awards and four Soul Train Awards then to finally get recognized by the L.A. Music Awards and win is a true honor and I feel the best is yet to come."

Flipping a Fender Stratocaster upside-down as a lefty guitar player in an electrifying stage show, WCE recording artist Malina Moye has already worked with such multi-platinum Grammy-Award-winning artists as George Clinton, Prince, The Sounds of Blackness, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and *NSYNC to name a few. Born into an acclaimed musical family, Moye has been singing, playing guitar, songwriting since she was 9-years-old. Moye's WCE Records released her first R&B single "Girlfriend" in 2003 to great reviews and followed-up in 2004 with her second single "Alone."
Her self-titled LP "Malina Moye" will be released in Spring '06.
