Seattle, Wash. (Static Sky Records: www.staticskyrecords.net) – Seattle industrial-rock act SMP (aka Sounds of Mass Production) releases its first video, 'This Perfect Day' from its critically acclaimed album, 'Crimes of the Future.' 'This Perfect Day,' based on a novel of the same title by Ira Levin, and a favorite read of SMP's Jason Bazinet, revisualizes the streets of Seattle as a dystopic and decaying metropolis where fear and conformity rule, and emotions are a forbidden luxury. The video was shot on high-quality DV by Seattle-based independent filmmakers Resonance Digital Arts, and was directed by Paul J. Furio, formerly of Static Engine and SMP. The video is currently available for free download on the SMP Web site in both MP4 and MPG formats: https://www.smphq.com/smp_thisperfectday.mp4 https://www.smphq.com/smp-thisperfectday.mpg VJs interested in showing the video should contact Music Ration Entertainment, LLC., at [email protected]. Bazinet is currently in the shop working on a new, as-yet-untitled sixth album, which will be released on Static Sky Records in early 2006. Stay tuned for more news. SMP has been described as cyber-punk, a blend of industrial-rock, dance, punk and rap. It's danceable, aggressive, and diverse.
