Loreena McKennitt Announces Additional Stops On The Visit Revisited Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Visit Revisited Tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of Loreena McKennitt's life-altering, Juno Award-winning album, The Visit, has grown to a 10-performance, eight-city tour. Doubling in size since it was first announced in April, the fall tour will now begin with a preview performance in her home base of Stratford, Ontario and wind up in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Due to demand, second performances have been added in Montréal and Québec.

In September 2021, McKennitt released The Visit: The Definitive Edition, a deluxe limited-edition, hardback book format. The original album, released in Canada in 1991 and internationally in 1992, marked a major turning point in her career. Entering into a partnership with major international record company, Warner Music Group, The Visit propelled McKennitt onto the world stage, a place where she has been comfortable ever since.

The Visit Revisited Tour now launches on Sept. 30 in Stratford at the historic Knox Church, followed by performances in major concert halls in Hamilton, Montréal, Toronto, Québec, Ottawa, Kingston and Sherbrooke through to Oct. 11, 2022.
"This is the first time I've gone on tour since 2019 and I'm very excited about these upcoming performances," says McKennitt, "and I'm looking forward to seeing so many people again—something I've missed very much."
Tickets for the Stratford and Sherbrooke performances will be on sale August 13 with tickets for Kingston available August 19 through the artist's website.

Accompanying McKennitt on tour will be long-time musical companions Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, and Hugh Marsh on violin. Since the tour was first announced the band has grown from a quartet to a quintet with the recent addition of bass player Dudley Phillips.

Performances will include every song on The Visit, (in the order which they appear on the album), as well as other favourites from across her catalogue.

The last time McKennitt took to the road was during her Lost Souls Tour in 2018, which also began in Stratford and was followed by performances in Brazil, Argentina and Chile, later taking her to Europe that spring and summer for 49 concerts, eventually wrapping up in Canada in the fall of 2019. Tickets for the Canadian fall tour are on sale now through the Loreena McKennitt website. Tickets for the Stratford preview performance are also available at Treasures, a Stratford-based shop, or by calling 519-273-3876.
