Los Angeles, (City of Angels) - On Friday October 7, 2005 at the 740 Club (located at 740 Broadway, Los Angeles, CA) at 9:00pm, The City of Angels will do its part by presenting a benefit concert to aid in the rebuilding of the lives of the hurricane victims. TOZ Entertainment, Closer-Than-Close Media, along TVT Records, Capitol Records, Interscope Records, Izze Sparking Water, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, Ideal PR and various other sponsors who felt the need to contribute and lend a helping hand to the recent hurricane tragedy. Naming the event "City of Angels Benefit Concert" yields to the delicate nature of the relief focus. Hundreds of hurricane victims were relocated to Los Angeles, California area for shelter. Three special hurricane victims, who were students attending Xavier College in New Orleans, LA at the time of the hurricane, were rescued and transported to Los Angeles after they were stuck on a rooftop for days, then had to wade their way through miles of debris filled water passing numerous dead bodies on the way. These three special students will be pampered and "made-over" so they may enjoy a benefit concert being held in their, among the many other hurricane survivors honor. With hundreds of hurricane victims being housed in the heart of Los Angeles, California, this devastation of these survivors hits very close to home for many. This special day has been created in hopes of repairing some of the damage to assist in their rebuilding process, one smile at a time.

This red carpet event will feature musical performances donated by various hot urban artist such as Chico & James DeBarge from the endearing DeBarge musical family. Teedra Moses, the dynamic voice from TVT Records who is flying into Los Angeles specifically to perform at this event, is a native of New Orleans and feels a personal obligation to help out and be apart of everything related to this cause. Jon B, who himself put on a benefit concert earlier this year in January for the Tsunami victims will be center stage once again, as well as Lil' Zane, Scipio, Rodney O & Joe Coley, American Idol's David Brown and others feel the same duty and commitment to the cause. Comedians such as Carl Payne from The Cosby & Martin TV Shows, BET Comic View's Lazee Lamont & Speedy, Gabrielle Dennis in addition to many other funny people are donating their time as well in hopes to raise money and lift up spirits.

These special students are only three of many who are seriously distressed from displacement and who are suffering from educational losses among additional calamities. Two young ladies and a gentleman will be made over from head to toe with beauty grooming and fabulous new clothing to enjoy the evening in style. The two female survivors will begin the day at the hair salon "A Brief Moment West" and the male survivor at "In the Cut" barber shop. From the salons, Norman Louis Limousine service will pick up the survivors and transport them to Hollywood's famous Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles where they will have lunch with various celebrities participating in the benefit concert. After dining, the limousines will transport the survivors and celebrities to sound check for the event, then the personal stylist will adorn the male survivor in FiveFour Clothing and the female survivors in a combination of special boutique attire to make sure they are well prepared for their first red carpet experience. A special array of hor'dourves and pastries from Bee's Bakery and other caterers will fill the air with soothing smells as sounds of the musical performances are blended in the air to make for a night not to be missed.
The American Red Cross will be there to receive 100% of the proceeds from this event.
