New York, NY (Top40 Charts) BMG's triple Grammy-nominated songwriters the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have unveiled their first new music after a nearly decade-long break with the release of their fifth album, Cool It Down.
The trio's eight-track studio album is a collection of the band's unique sound and addresses current environmental and social topics such as the climate change and isolation during the pandemic era but ends with a glimmer of hope in the closing track 'Mars'.
BMG and the legendary indie rock band have a long history: "They were first signed to BMG/ Chrysalis as publishing clients in 2002. In 2021, we renewed the contract between them and BMG to continue the achievements from the past in the future", said Hugo Turquet, SVP, A&R publishing, UK.
Mark Levin, BMG Senior Director Sync Commercial & Creative, UK, commented on the album release, "Yeah Yeah Yeahs have a rich BMG synch history but the response we've had from our synch clients about this album has surpassed anything we've seen previously. The songwriting and production throughout Cool It Down has really taken the band to the next level".
The release of Cool It Down followed the release of their latest single, 'Burning', which has already amassed over half a million views on YouTube and over two million streams on Spotify.
