New Single Release From 'xskarma' And 'Frannie B'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The origins of this track are rooted in xskarma's love of 90's trip-hop. The drums have a crunchy lilt and wavy filtered feel and much of the instrumentation is influenced by retro sounds of the 90's. But the hook has a more modern pop feel and the vocal performance gives it an indie pop vibe.

This track was co-written with the super talented UK artist 'Frannie B' and features her amazing vocals. Frannie is a fast growing electropop sensation with over 1m streams on Spotify. She has experienced rapid fan growth and streaming success having caught a wave on Tik Tok in early 2021.

The track deals with the Sacrifices that some people make when they fall in love and dedicate their life to looking after and comforting someone else. Many of us have difficult demons and the support and comfort we take from our partners is all that keeps us on the straight and narrow. The lyrics deal with the darkness felt by many people with a depressive nature and how people that care for you can help to lift that fog :-)

Frannie B draws influences from many artists in the Pop ecosphere, from the pop hooks of Rita Ora, to the darker shades of Dua Lipa, and RnB stylings of Kehlani. Sonically, her music has been described as a melting pot of soulful vocal lines colliding with an ocean of digital sounds. Her music had risen to critical acclaim in a short space of time, and she has received praise from artists such as Sinead Harnett and Anne Marie. Frannie has also lent her vocal talents to established artists such as alt rock sensation Supergrass, and has shared the stage with Charlie Dore and Jessie J.

xskarma is an experienced west country Producer/Drummer/Songwriter who has developed his own trip-hop inspired vibe over the last few years to growing acclaim. xskarma's influences include Portishead, Massive Attack, Zero 7, Lamb and other classic 90's trip hop bands. Having played drums and produced many bands in the south west, xskarma has now released 10 EP's and 1 album.
