New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jeanick Fournier, the winner of the latest season of Canada's Got Talent, releases the music video for "
Moment" from her self-titled record label debut album released this month via Universal Music. The music video shows Jeanick Fournier singing in an empty concert venue, interweaved with highlights from her winning campaign on Canada's Got Talent. Her remarkable journey on the show is documented with clips of the singer performing her stunning rendition of Céline Dion's "
I Surrender" from her Golden Buzzer moment, the judges' awestruck reactions to hearing her angelic voice for the first time, and shots of her celebrating her big win alongside her two children.
"
Moment" is pulled from Jeanick's new self-titled album and was released as a single alongside "Ça ira" ahead of the project's arrival. Winning over hearts across the nation after being declared the victor of Canada's Got Talent, Jeanick shared a timeless collection of music with grace and poise, cementing her as one of Canada's top rising artists with a voice that only comes around once in a generation. The album debuted at #13 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and peaked at #1 on iTunes Canada.
Her first full-length album since winning Canada's Got Talent and signing to Universal
Music Canada earlier this year, this release marks an important moment for one of the country's most magnificent vocal talents. Jeanick Fournier includes new collaborations with Maxime Landry ("Tous les cris, les S.O.S.") and
Lindsay Ell ("
Paris"), with the latter becoming one of Jeanick's biggest supporters after sending her straight through to the semi-finals of CGT by excitedly pressing the Golden Buzzer following her live audition.
"This is the culmination of months of great work, so intense… I have a lot of gratitude for everything that happens to me and for each beautiful encounter I have had," says Jeanick about the album's release. "Just a big thank you to my team and, my goodness, I can't wait to see and hear the public's reaction!"
"The duet with
Lindsay is another great gift… our two voices together, wow! It's like closing the loop of our adventure on CGT but also starting a new adventure. Who knows… I hope to, one day, be able to sing 'Paris' with
Lindsay on a big stage. I'm crossing my fingers!" - Jeanick Fournier
To celebrate the release of her new album, Jeanick announced her upcoming tour, including dates in Québec City and Montréal in November 2022, and Gatineau, St-Hyacinthe, Sorel-Tracy, Sherbrooke, Joliette, and other Québec cities in
September and October 2023. This is only the beginning for this tremendous artist, who has even more in store for the coming months.
There are some voices that are so powerful that they take your breath away the instant you first hear them. Québec's Jeanick Fournier is one of those people. Possessing an undeniable natural talent, the mother of two and palliative care beneficiary attendant has drawn the attention of the nation by winning the second season of Canada's Got Talent with grace, humility, and the voice of an angel. With a Golden Buzzer under her belt, and a thrilling career as one of Canada's most exciting new voices in front of her, Jeanick attributes her success to her dedication and passion for her craft - but it must also be said that her voice is one of those rare forces that can grab you by the soul, and people gravitate towards her because of her authenticity, her generosity of spirit, and a certain magic that comes along once in a generation.
