New York, NY (Top40 Charts) My Life As A Moth has returned today with her palpable new single 'Drama'. The first new music from the Swedish born, London-based singer-songwriter since the release of her debut EP 'Chest Of Dress Up' earlier this year 'Drama' carries on My Life As A Moth's work with Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi), Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes) as the musician continues to hone her intricate and quirky sound.

Explaining 'Drama' in more detail My Life As A Moth elaborates, "'Drama' was one of my favourite songs to create. It started acapella and went on a long invigorating creative journey from there. It's about being caught in the middle of destructive drama, severely throwing off your inner peace to the point of losing touch with your sense of self. It's written from the point of view of both the drama and the receiver. Sonically I wanted to create a bold backbone with cheeky and fluttery flair."

The artist's debut EP 'Chest Of Dress Up' was released in March - a three-track project featuring the title track, as well as singles 'Sing King' and 'Electro Junction'. The release saw My Life As A Moth draw comparisons to the likes of Kate Bush and Fiona Apple for its eccentric nature.

Fizzing with personality and charm,'Chest Of Dress Up' the EP was recorded at Vada Studios, a converted chapel just outside of Stratford-upon-Avon, with the aforementioned esteemed producers Rob Ellis, Adrian Utley and Ben Christophers. Sonically, it evidenced playful and precocious innocent qualities proving My Life As A Moth to be a seriously talented musician who doesn't take herself too seriously.

Following on from a sold out, debut London headline show at Paper Dress Vintage, My Life As A Moth will be making her live return in the capital on 6th December with a gig at The Lower Third, London's newest venue on Denmark Street - please get in touch for guest list enquiries.

Whilst some mystery remains around My Life As A Moth, an undeniable desire to be free and express themselves creatively sits at the heart of their music. Key moments in the singer's life which have led her to this point inform much of her lyrical inspiration, laced with inquisitive and deft metaphors it's a real credit to her artistry. A poet, a musician and a wise head on young shoulders, My Life As A Moth wears all of these guises with an unfaltering confidence - and the result sounds heavenly.
