NEW YORK (AP) - Lenny Kravitz, Brooks & Dunn, Cher, Toby Keith, Kid Rock, Shaggy, and
Yolanda Adams are among the artists set to perform at the 29th annual American
Music Awards (AMA), airing Jan. 9 on ABC. Confirmed presenters so far are India.Arie, Blu Cantrell, Melissa Etheridge,
Nelly Furtado, Ginuwine, Ja Rule, Alicia Keys, Lifehouse, Ludacris, Master P. and his son Lil' Romeo, Method Man, Nelly, Jamie O'Neal, O-Town, Redman, LeAnn Rimes, SHeDAISY, Trick Pony, Tyrese, and Luther Vandross.
Presenters from non-musical fields include comedian Cedric "The Entertainer," actors Chris Klein and Frankie Muniz, and models Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and Niki Taylor.
More performers and presenters are expected to be added to the lineup. As previously reported, Keys leads this year's nominations with five, joining other multiple nominees Brooks & Dunn, Destiny's Child, Dave Matthews Band, Lonestar, R. Kelly, Tim McGraw, 'N Sync, and Shaggy.
The AMA awards are handed out in 21 categories based on a national voting sample of approximately 20,000 listeners.
