In their 15th year together, Breaking Grass has achieved significant chart success, including numerous albums appearing on Billboard's 10 Album Chart. In addition, their recent stand-out and bluesy hit song, "100 Degrees in the Shade," garnered spent weeks on the Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine's
National Bluegrass Survey Chart and the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Songs chart.
Mountain Fever Records recently released the band's sixth studio album, Somewhere Beyond, which Bluegrass Today says is "another outstanding example of the band's ability to infuse a mix of styles and sounds without ever veering too far from their chosen template. While most of the songs retain a traditional mix of fiddle, banjo, bass, guitar, and high harmonies, Breaking Grass also adds a certain gravitas that deviates from any expected revelry or routine."
