New York, NY (Top40 Charts) For some people, there is no greater teacher than the streets. J'Moris grew up in Hillsboro, Texas in the 90s. There growing up meant being exposed to drugs, pimps and thugs. As he recalls, his family really tried to keep him off the streets but that was not always possible as he would frequently see his friends and loved ones fall victim to drugs or the streets. With the help of his brother, he quickly learned how to finesse the game and even graduated high school, making advantages for himself where there might not have been any.
He attended Lamar University, where he continued to focus on his passion for music. Building up his organization Tru Misfitz used music to express the things that aren't easily expressed. Staying true to his southern influence he would spit killer raps and rhymes that were deeply personal. His style clearly influenced by many of the greats (Master P, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, T.I. and Biggie Smalls) is now more obvious than ever in his new single Jelly.
Jelly is the song you start playing when you want to vibe and hang out with friends, but it can also be the perfect song for chilling on your own. The hard-hitting lyrics paired with the beat and unparalleled riff leave you constantly wanting to hear more, even when the track is over.
