New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and artist, Maria Lane, has just released her eight-track debut EP maybe i'll feel better, a body of work lost in sublime poetry with gentle melodies of relatable relationships. A tantalizing glimpse of this artists relationships through her melodramatic vocals of lyrics connecting her experiences one track at a time.

With an earlier release to give listeners a taste of her story book EP, "haunting me" set the tone with a song about a breakup and Lane trying to date again, only for her ex to reach out again just haunting her and keeping her away from her new relationship. Sharing her experience through her intense vocals and distressing harmonies recreate such a vivid image to engage listeners with this track.

Lane pulls her inspiration for her lyrics from her real-life experiences and introducing her music with sad songs. It is clear her plan for this story-like ep was to draw her audience in through the ups and downs of emotion by mixing in a few happy songs.

From the first song "serotonin" which draws on a melancholy tone and raw acoustic vibes, Lane's vocals hook the listeners into your own thoughts and emotions causing them to become invested in her story. A body of work one can't stop listening through to the end.

The EP focus track, "crying in a cvs" is a beautiful production with magnificent vocals and melody. The relatable lyrics give a very vivid experience of a hard relationship impacting daily lives. Lane shares, "I stopped in CVS and once I got there I realized how overwhelmed I was in this relationship that I couldn't focus on why I was there to begin with. The song came to me after the feelings I experienced at CVS."
For Maria Lane it is only the beginning for this powerful lyricist. This storyteller is going to make a huge impact with her music.
