New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Natalie Merchant has released the video for "Big Girls," a song from her new album, Keep Your Courage, released last week. The song is one of two duets on the album sung with vocalist Abena Koomson-Davis of Resistance Revival Chorus, along with "Come on, Aphrodite." That video and the just-released video for "Big Girls" were both filmed in Brooklyn directed by Matthew Shattuck (Foo Fighters, John Legend) and edited by Andrew Pulaski (Joey Bada$$, A$AP Ferg). They also made the video for the album track "Tower of Babel." You can watch "Big Girls" here:

Keep Your Courage is Natalie Merchant's tenth solo studio album and the first of new material since her 2014 self-titled record. An eclectic album, produced by Merchant, it features lush orchestrations throughout, two duets sung with vocalist Abena Koomson-Davis of Resistance Revival Chorus, contributions from the Celtic folk group LĂșnasa and Syrian virtuoso clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, and horn arrangements by jazz trombonist Steve Davis. There are nine original songs by Merchant and an interpretation of a song by Ian Lynch of the Irish band Lankum. The vinyl LP edition includes four bonus tracks from earlier albums, previously unreleased on vinyl. You can pick up a copy and hear it here.

Natalie Merchant's months-long Keep Your Courage tour, which kicked off in Poughkeepsie over the weekend, continues with shows in Pennsylvania and Virginia this week. Details/tickets below and at nonesuch.com/on-tour.
